PDF keyword search

I would like to know how to perform keyword search on a PDF file from the linux command line.
I hope you would reply to my question.

Not tested! PS this topic is wrong placed: it should be in programming..


grep -i -n -r 'my_defined_search' /home/<USER>/<FOLDER>/


Here is the definition:
grep is function name to search a pattern in files
-i means ignore case
-n means output line number
-r search recursively

I found it not working for most of the keywords.

I think you would need command line tools to access that format then use either it's tools or use standard shell tools if it can be piped into and out of the program.
