Out of Range on screen

Specs: Linux i686, 4mg
Tried to install two seperate OS's Suse and Debian. First installed failed then tried the other,
Installed each time but Dialog Box came up middle of screen 'Out of Range'.

Usually one of two issues.

One issue is a modern distro assumes you have somewhat of a new system and the default is like 800x600. You may be able to either change that at boot or with a text install.

Second is video driver issue. You may have to install it by a text install then get correct drivers then restart video.

I think you ought to try puppy and see if it works.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.

Tried another distro Ubuntu.
That went in OK, no problems at all. Will stick with that now.
