Solved Map subdomain to my webserver

February 6, 2014 at 14:53:47
Specs: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
I installed owncloud on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and configured by what the documentation has written in it. I went to a third party ddns service to test if i can access the web server outside the network which I am able to do so.

Now what I would like to do is map a sub domain to that web server so that I can access it with that sub domain instead of the ddns service. How can I do so, as Godaddy knowledge base is not all that explicit. Would like step by step instructions on how to do, even if its has to be done through terminal, have no problem.

Also I tried configuring the https for owncloud by what provided info in the doc, but did not not work. The mobile apps and desktop clients only use https login. How can I configure it as well to where I will not have any issues accessing it once I configure it.

That might be better than godaddy's documentation.
