I have tried to install linux but it didn't work.
Is there a simple Win XP style Linux version with setup.exe which installs autom ?

Are there people who want linux coz its free / open source & downloadable instead of buying Windows OS?

Lastly what is svn & what is its significance?
Thanks.

I suggest that you start by using any of the "Live CD's" to start.

You look at any of the top 20-30 at Distrowatch.com and almost all have a live cd. You burn it to a cd/dvd and boot your computer to the cd.

If you don't have a cd drive you may have to make a usb flash drive instead. Just as simple. Go to pendrivelinux.com for how to's.

I support the 'Everybody Draw Mohammed Day'. A religion doesn't deny my freedom.
