Installing Red Hat RHEL-5.6 on HP laptop

Specs: Linux, AMD/4 gig
Laptop is pavilion dv7, I have talk with Red Hat and Hp the both told me no problems loading machine with Linux, I tried 4, and 6 also, get to same point "running /sbin/loader". It almost like I missing driver or it getting the wrong one. Note disks all load on to desk top no problems, which I thought was problem with bad disk.

The machine has windows 7 on it also, but that should not make any different, because there is 400 gig of free hard drive, and it still just loading the the operation system in to memory.

I never had any problems loading Linus on desk tops when one has good hardware.

Thank you for any help

Carl

Why Red Hat? Did you try any other distros?

Carl, save yourself some time and trouble. Install a Virtual Machine. Then install any number of OS's. 4g and I assume a fully supported AMD processor would make it simple to run linux and windows at the same time.
