Inspiron Duo Ubuntu 11.10 Touchscreen

Specs: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, 3.166 GHz / 4095 MB
Can someone guide me on how to make the touchscreen work on my DELL inspiron duo, I've just installed ubuntu 11.10 and everything seems to be working fine but except the touchscreen.

I did find that website you posted, but I have no clue where to start as I've stated I don't know anything about linux. As a windows user I know a lot about DOS/command prompt and most of the commands but when it comes to Terminal (linux), I'm clueless.

Touch screens tend to be connected to the system by some means. Either serial or usb internally. Second is the maker of the touch screen. Almost all of them tend to be one of two brands.

As to where to start would be in finding out how windows sees it or use tools in linux to see if it can report.

If it doesn't work by default and there is no easy gui choice to select MMI or (I forget the correct name) like human input device or such. If not in gui then you need to start to diag it to exact hardware.
