In linux the disks not in use are not labelled isit correct?

Specs: Linux
I am Storage Administrator, while reclaiming the unused disks from linux server, do i need to see the disk which are not labelled and show no valid partition..is this correct?

Please advise/..

uhhhhh, isn't that part of your job? Shouldn't you know? Ask your supervisor..? I believe the answer is yes.
