What displays on the screen when you attempt to boot from the disc? A message about PAE? Black screen? Zorin logo? A grid-like series of dots? Have you tried pressing any keys such as enter, space bar, tab, etc?

Is the boot order set correctly in the BIOS? CD/DVD listed before the HDD? Did you burn the disc properly using software such as Imgburn or CDBurnerXP?

So you're saying on your Win7 computer, you can boot off the disc & run Zorin in a live session? If so, that confirms the disc was burned properly so the problem would seem to be with the boot order. Either that or you don't have DVD drives in your Dells.

On the Dell 4550 desktop it just boot's into XP after a few minutes it has bios version A08.On the D-505 latitude laptop with bios A11 it no DEFAULT or UI configuration directive found. right below that it says boot

now my screen is saying warning PAE disabled.use parameter forcepae to enable at your own risk this kernal requires features not present on the CPU
unable to boot-please use a kernal appropriate for your CPU
But i tried forcepae it wouldn't work so i guess i'll just burn an older version maybe it will work
