Solved How to list recs .abc, but not .abc.def

Specs: Linux
grep negation.
If a file has 50 records that end in extension .abc, and another thirty that end in extension .abc.def, I only want to see the ones that end with the extension .abc

I don't get the problem.
Simply use this:

grep search_string /searchpath/*.abc
