how to install Lubuntu OS on ALR 7200 Gateway

Specs: no os currently, 2 PIII 500Mhz/1024ram
The server has three HDs two are SCSI(18g) and the other is IDE(20g). All HDs show in bios and ram tests good with memtest86 (latest on Lubuntu live CD). The Lubuntu live CD doesn't get all the way booted up before it gives a fatal error and reboots. I have also tried Chrome OS and gOS and they didnt get to the live CD desktop either. Is there a something you have to do differently to install an OS on these ALR 7200 Gateway tower servers? I also tried skipping the live part and just installing the OS but that fails on all three also in about the same place.

Two things. Servers are odd and this one is a bit old.

I'd try opensuse or maybe debian live dvd to see if it will work. They may offer better support.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?
