How do I capture screen output and send to file?

I am playing a text adventure. I need to create a file from the onscreen output. Seems to me there is a way, but I cannot remember.

I can get the output to a file using "Advent > script.txt", but then I cannot see what is going on. I need to see screen output and create file.

Oops. I forgot that my system was automatically detected and would be misleading. I am playing this on DOSBox. So I need to know how to do this under DOS. I do have Tee, but the version I have only works under Windows. Using the virtual Windows isn’t as convenient as using DOSBox.

I searched for a totally DOS version of Tee, but the only link I found was for OpenNetwork, which is up for sale.

I don't think it is possible in MS-DOS.
