I am trying to find a way to forward the content of a log file to another server. I cannot use syslog to do this, it wont work. I need to come up with a shell script or perl to forward the content of a log file to another servers as the existing log file is written. Has anybody done this type of work? Any inisight greatly appreciated.

Any file transfer method should work. tftp, ftp, sftp, ssh, rcp, rsync, netcat, maybe 20 more ways.

If you are trying to log in real time then mount the drive via some network protocol such as nfs, webdav or samba.
