Solved first time OS installation for new laptop

Specs: ubuntu, 4gb
I want to install Ubuntu on my new laptop which came without OS.
I have made a bootable USB stick and its ready to install Ubuntu.
Please tell me the next procedure for installing Ubuntu , Does it require any drivers or hard disk has to be partioned?

Have you read the installation instructions on the Ubuntu website? They probably describe the process in more detail than a forum post can.
