You will need to be more specific.

Linux operates differently and many "drivers" are just built in to the kernel. Exceptions can be propitiatory video drivers or wi-fi cards.

What EXACTLY isn't working?

Fedora is a LiveCD, You can boot from the CD-Rom and leave your hard drive completely untouched - as though it had never been there.

Just try it and see if it works!

For sure you can get some video to work even if you have to use vesa. Only nvidia and ati are near totally supported in linux.

Wifi needs to know your exact chip. Some linux drivers are out there. Also there is a way to use Microsoft drivers under linux for ndiswrapper. Actually, ndis could do much more support for almost any device.

As above start with live cd's or usb's or dvd's. Consider netboot.me to load an os over the network. See also boot kerenel org. BKO for their similar gPXE boot over wan.

The live cd's are by far the best way to start. Almost every distro offers one. Unless you try you can't bork your system.

As always consider a backup of your data now before you lose it if important.
