drivers for ubuntu10:10 VIA/s36 unichrome pro

Specs: Windows XP, 1.8 GHz / 190 MB
That's the question I've looked VIA linux portal(I think thats the VIA company page) but the latest drivers are for the Ubuntu 9.04. I've also looked at the unichrome project at their 0.2.6 driver but that was last ubdated in 8/06/06. Then I looked at x-org and their 1:0.6.99 feisty build and also the,(I think this is also feisty) this one I have downloaded but not installed, can anyone tell me which one is the best for me or tell me of any other drivers that you may know about. Mostly I just use the internet and it crashes, I get a vertical striped page and it is frozen and I have to shut down the computer and reboot. I have a Emachines t3104 with 256mb ddr sdram memory and sempron 3100.

But my advice is to install more RAM & a real video card. You're not going to get anything to perform decently with only 256MB RAM, or should I say 192MB since it appears 64MB is being used by the crappy onboard graphics.
