drivers for ubuntu ( intel extreme 2 )

Specs: ubuntu 10.04, p4 2.66 ghz / ddr1 1 gb ram
1-i recently downloaded Ubuntu 10.04. Now the problem comes drivers. Since ubuntu 10.04 does not support .exe files , how can i install drivers for my onboard video card . i need INTEL EXTREME 2 drivers for Linux. i heard of an app called Wine which can install .exe files on Linux . But i am not sure wheather ill be able to install them .
2-what about Mac? there is a version of Mac for intel computers. how do people install onboard graphic drivers

I'd be surprised if those drivers aren't already included in Ubuntu, but if not you can download them from here.

.exe files are for Windows, not Linux. And considering the age of the Intel Extreme 2 graphics (yuck), I'd be surprised if Ubuntu didn't automatically load the best drivers. Ubuntu is currently at version 11.04, I suggest you try it. Or better yet, try Mint 11.
