Specs: linux redhat
i have difficulties starting linux in graphic mode.i've used the strt x comand and it did not work.i need a linux camand that stars the system in graphic mode

First, the xorg.conf file has to be edited.

Change the runlevel to boot to graphics mode. Search google for runlevel & your distro.

startx is the usual command.

Why are you using red hat?

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.

Check the xorg log file. That should give an indication of the problem (assuming that you use the correct "startx" command). It may be that the version of Red Hat that you are using doesn't have a driver for your video card, but as you give no details of your hardware and software it's difficult to help.

People mainly use redhat for servers for its high security. Also, you have to buy it and pay top dollar to use their support.
Where other versions are free and so is support.
