Running Ubuntu 16.04 on a desktop PC. I want to mount a SMB (Samba) share from an older Mac running OS X 10.3 Panther. I had previously been able to do so but one of the Ubuntu software updates broke something. The Ubuntu client just keeps asking for my username and password. I can still connect to SMB shares on my Windows PC. I can connect to the Mac from other devices. I have tried various fixes to smb.conf to no avail. Any ideas? I've also tried connecting via AFP without any luck.
Revert to using the older version of Ubuntu that was working okay prior to the update.
