My I pad was working fine and then one day it just stopped being able to send e-mails. I can't fix it. What do I do? Thank you.

Have any of the settings changed under email? Can you still send emails using that address from your computer ?

Do you get any error message on the iPad when you try to send emails? Something must have changed, even if you didn't change anything on your iPad.

I have the same problem, have been sending and receiving aol emails for one year. Then yesterday saw an email that had a date of 1960, did not open it, but it showed up on the preview screen, and since then can't send or receive aol emails on my ipad

Hey, same thing happened on my ipad2. Saw an email from 1960, thought I had gotten rid of it, but now am not able to send emails - it just hangs while sending, then says one unsent email. Frustrating. My email works fine everywhere else.

Hi there
Same thing has happened to me once or twice
You might like to try the following....it works for me

Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calenders > Click on Account that isnt working > Scroll down and click on SMTP box > click on Primary Server box > Enter your User name and Password for SMTP server if these are now empty > Click Done

For some reason, on occasions, i have found that these details have somehow disappeared from my settings (no idea why). Once I re-enter them everything seems fine again ;-)

Good luck!
