USB charging issues with iPad

Apple Ipad 64gb tablet

My iPad will not charge when it is connected to my laptop via the USB port. It charges fine when I plug it into the wall, so I know there is nothing wrong with the port on the iPad. Also, my laptop can charge my iPod fine, so I know there is nothing wrong with the port on the laptop. This is really strange.

This is a known issue. Apparently, some computers do not have USB ports powerful enough to charge the iPad while it is running. This is because the iPad requires such a large amount of power to operate when compared to most USB devices. Apple's solution is to turn the iPad into sleep mode while it is connected. This should allow it to charge via a weak USB port.

The Sugestions for Charging the iPad is with one of the Newer
Mac's Or With the Wall Charger.

If you try to charge with a Older mac of PC it will not work or
will take FOREVER! This is because of the power output of the
USB plug in. Newer Mac have a grater out put but it will still
take longer then to use the wall charger.
