my doctor wants to use his Iphone memos and I have an Olympus digital system for transcription. How can I get these files into my system so I can use the pedal for transcription?

If he is using the built it memo app, you will first have to sync his iPhone with iTunes, then you can put the memo file on your hard drive. Then you will have to convert it to a format the Olympus digital system can recognize.

If I may suggest a better way. There is an app called HT Recorder. It's great for taking memos in all sorts of environments because it lets you select the room size and adjusts the gain and compression for that size room. Then once your done recording you can either send the file via email or if the iPhone and a computer is on the same wifi connection, you can logon to a website that the program creates and copy the file over. it much easier then trying to sync up through iTunes.

I downloaded the HT Professional Recorder app which is very good as a dictation device, only I have great difficulty using either the wi-fi server or email. The wi-fi server is always down, and the email server doesn't send me the code it says I need to retrieve the file. I have been trying to get the file through iTunes but cannot seem to import the file into my Olympus software. On the other hand, I can easily copy my voice memos recorded on my iPhone to my computer and use Windows Media Player to transcribe. Not nearly as easy to transcribe but at least it works. Any suggestions?
