The iPhone doesn't have an open port for general use. Just one it uses to sync with iTunes, but I don't think you could bypass iTunes. All the available ports are there but somehow they are not enabled.

There are specific remote apps for the iPhones OS to help you see and control your PC. But I am not sure about the other way around. This is why you depend on an specific iPhone app that uses iTunes to connect. Search for "remote desktop iphone". Just to give you an example there is this app: mochasoft. They have a lite and free version.

I hope I helped a bit.

I installed Veency which is software through Cydia which allows access. It worked for me before and everyone on Youtube seems to follow these instructions and they work.
the remote software i downloaded from app store remotes my phone into my PC so i can see my Desktop PC on my phone, i want to see my iphone on my PC :)

Remember the iOS and now iOS4 is something Apple wants to keep closed. Apple could add a USB port or an opened TCP port, but they haven't done this, witch has lead to some intense criticism. For most users this closed system is not a problem.

I am not sure, but I think If you want this option you may need to Jailbreak your iPhone. I am not recommending you do this I am just saying and this is at your own risk.

Please, if someone knows an app to control and see your iPhone from your PC, enlighten us.
