Solved The volume on my iPad does not work

Specs: 8.0.2
No matter what the Volume setting is, there is no audio on my IPad. This the case for all apps I use. I have tried turning the iPad off and on and turning the setting to volume to mute and back to loudest. These is still no difference. Any suggestions?

Do you have the mute button on? There is a switch next to the volume buttons, if is is in the position where you see orange, it's in the mute position.

Hey that was the problem. I never noticed that button. It is covered up by my case so I am not sure how it even got switched on. Thanks

That little button is easily missed; and there is an option in settings to allow it to do a couple of things (but only one option at a time).
