Removing stripped screw from iPhone?

Specs: N/A
I used a GPS app on my iphone on a trip, approx., 3200 miles. Since I got back had to remove app because my battery won't keep a charge. It dies after 30 seconds of use if I'm lucky. Set phone back to all original defaults, phone still dies but once I put it on charger shows full battery. I purchased battery do it yourself kit, ( can't afford to send it to Apple right now). Received kit. But one of the screws on top is stripped, how can I safely remove it?

I have an iPhone 3GS, the screws are on the bottom though. I'm not sure if this is what you meant, because the little hole on the top is where your SIM card goes. If the 4/3G is different, I would stop trying immediately, as you may end up making it worse.

If you can get your hands on a different screwdriver, give that a try, but you may end up having to send it to Apple anyways. I also wouldn't try anything fancy, and the crew is so small, you actually may end up damaging the phone itself.

Can I put a question here?
