I bought an iPod Classic about a year ago and the computer that I had itunes on crashed and I lost all of my things on it. I bought a new Toshiba Satellite laptop and I was wondering, if I put itunes onto it and plugged my ipod in, would it erase my ipod? I don't want to lose all of my songs. Most every song on my ipod is a c.d. rip and I have over 6,000 songs on it and don't want to do all that work again. Am I safe just installing itunes and will it just pick what is on my ipod and then I can just go back to adding music again? Desperate to add new music...please help!

✔ Best Answer
iTunes will not erase what's on your iPod. Install iTunes, connect iPod, then synchronise iTunes with what's on iPod.

Thank you for you response. That sets my mind at ease. I can go on and put the rest of my disks on my ipod and jam 'till the cows come home! Thanks again, pip22 and rock on.
