Solved iPhoto transfer iMac to iPad

Specs: Macintosh
OK, Phil22 and trvr, you guys sure worked wonders for me. Now I'm begging for more help. I would like to transfer some iPhotos from my iMac to my iPod. Can you set me on the proper path to do this? My iPad is a 16gb mini. I would assume that photos would use up a lot of space. Am I correct?
Thanks,
Rene

Thanks Thin H.
I tried your suggestion (below), in order to transfer pictures from iMac to iPad, When I dragged the photos into iTunes and synced them to iPad via iTunes, I could not find the option to go from there. So then I downloaded FonePaw iOS Transfer and could not figure out where to go from there either. Maybe its just me, but if anyone knows of a simpler way, please let me know.
Thanks,
Rene

1.You can transfer the photos to iPad via E-mail if the number of photos is small.
2.If you have plenty of photos to transfer, just drag the photos you want into iTunes then sync them to iPad via iTunes.
3.And if the above didn't work, I suggest you use the useful and convenient tool FonePaw iOS Transfer.

Hope that helps!

Perhaps work your way through this discussion; covers a few approaches.. The one re' creating "folders" is one way to ensure you copy only the photos you want..?

and even more..

and a youtube demo...

and thuis one uses an add-in utility:

and there are other similar utils...

If you can't get across it via iTunes etc.. then using Dropbox is likely one way?
