ipad troubleshooting, reverts to desk top while reading.

Specs: iOS 5.1.1
I'll be reading an article in yahoo, fox news and others, and all of a sudden the site will shut down and revert back to the desktop.

I tried rebooting by powering it down and that didn't work, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Ray Kempa

I have had the same issue with memory hogging apps before. Usually the first trick is to turn the device off and let it sit a minute and restart. It sounds as though you have already tried this though. When you are having issues are there a bunch of things still active( you can try closing these by double tapping the home button and then you can press and hold an application then click the red circle to close), and are there a bunch of pages open in safari open?

Since you list your iOS as 5.1.1 I'm going to assume you're using an iPad 1. They only have 256 Meg of memory and just can't handle the more memory intensive apps built for iPad 2, 3 & 4 with more memory. Everyone is complaining that iPad 1's seem to crash a lot more these days.
