Hi!all! I want to know how can my iPad air sleep or wake the display automatically when I close cover? I need to install any software or just change the new cover? I google about solution that solve the problem, but they suggest me to go to setting --> general--> cover on/off. Unfortunately, my iPad Air which using iOS 7.0.6 hasn't have this function!!! I am happy to get any solution from all of you!!!

My first thought was it seems unlikely that Apple would not maintain that function on the iPad Air... so to look for other reasons...

The logical one being the "leather or similar" case you have... Either it doesn't have the necessary magnets installed, or they aren't quite correctly postioned... This post discusses the case and magnets idea...

Perhaps test with another case; maybe even go to an Apple store and test with one of theirs; or at least test a case with your iPad in a store which has cases which will (allegedly) activate the on/off.

And also read the above post as one poster found it was a setting in his/her iPad that required adjustment...

And these have other ideas...

Check the lock/unlock setting?

The option you are looking for is in General, Lock / Unlock and if you look right under that option it tells you "Automatically lock and unlock your iPad when you close and open the iPad cover".
