iPad 1 is slow since iOS 5

January 6, 2012 at 04:50:15
Specs: IOS5, 16MB

Since I have upgraded my iPad with iOS 5 it became slow. I also have frequent memory crashes in safari. Is there any way to makle it fast as before and avoid memory craches? I'm not willing to downgrade to iOS4 because of other updates.
Thanks for helping

If your not willing to downgrade then did Apple have anything to say on this? Maybe a patch or something that can fix the situation? I know they have support forums on their website just like these.

I have been having similar problems with Safari and sometimes certain apps. I don't think my iPad is much slower, though. For browsing I sometimes use other browsers, such as the Atomic Web browser. Here is a forum you might find useful:
One of the posts gives a link, but I haven't checked it yet. One hopes Apple comes up with update for this issue soon. It seems to be more of a problem on the original iPad, which is the one I have.

I'm still searching a solution. The only solution proposed by Apple so far is buy in iPad 2. This remember me the **good** time of wintel: "you want to upgrade to the new version... oops you also need to upgrade your hardware...". The problem is that it is now days difficult to choose to stay with the old version.
