iBook on iPhone: trouble on big PDF

Apple Ipad 16gb tablet

Specs: Macintosh
After the upgrade to iBooks 1.1.1 at least on my iPhone/iPod Touch it wasn't possible to open a complex 15.3 mb PDF and after a few seconds the app closes. I think this is more a hardware limit on the iPhone/iPod Touch side. In general iBooks is slow on this device but I thank Apple for including this app with iPod Touch/iPhone. Lighter PDFs with lighter graphics are still slow but they open and read fine. Does anyone is having problems with PDFs on the iPod Touch/iPhone/iPad?.

Sometimes a reset is in order after installing new or upgrading software. Hold down the power button and the home button until you see the Apple logo. then try it again.

I saw an improvement, as the heavy PDF file opened but the first tap on it closed iBooks. But your suggestion is important for everyone as it proved a restart produced a better result. Even from time to time restart your iPod/iPhone or iPad.

Tks

I had one app crash on me after I upgraded it. I emailed the developer and he said to try and delete the app, then re-install it. That seems to work so you might give that a try if your iBooks apps is still crashing.

Nice suggestions, but after I reinstalled iBooks it behaves the same way and closes. I think I am asking to much on this device. But it would be good to discover the max PDF size the iPod can handle.

I've recently had these same issues. I reset my iPhone, still iBook app closes,I then uninstalled/reinstalled,same problem. I think there's a problem in the Upgrade itself. Hope it's fixed soon,I was in the middle of a great book! :(
