How can I access my Excel folders , that are in my desktop computer by using my iPad. I do most of my online work on the iPad but don't know how to get MS Word and Excel onto the iPad. Any help will be appreciated. When was the last time you did something for the first time?
Just accessing the files won't help unless you have a program (app) on the iPhone that can run them - Word and Excel or equivalents. Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Drop by the app store, MS Office is available for IPad, here is just one article:
If you want to access them and edit them on your desktop computer, have a look at Splashtop
Hi MMCCONAGHY. I checked the website but couldn't find any reference anywhere on MS Office. When was the last time you did something for the first time?

Thanks everybody for your inputs. Mmcconaghy's suggestions worked and I have managed to download ms word and excel. Next question is: How can I copy a document from my desktop pic to the iPad! Any suggestions? When was the last time you did something for the first time?
Here is one way: https://help.apple.com/iwork/1.3/sa...
I'm sure there are others, perhaps using Dropbox.
