Unless Adobe do a complete re-write of Flash from the ground up, it will never ever be on the iPad / iPhone / iPod Touch.

As for any problems standardising HTML5, that was obviously going to happen for two reasons:

a. It's not standardised yet ... duh!!

b. No doubt Microsoft keep shovelling out their own ideas as the "standard" and then expecting everyone else to follow suit, just like they have with every other version of HTML, etc. The fact that Explorer makes up it's own ideas of the HTML standards is a large part of what makes website creation a pain in the sit-upon. :-(
