Solved How to pair logitech bluetooth headset with iphone 5

September 28, 2013 at 00:04:23
Specs: Windows 8
I had an iphone 4 with a logitech headset paired to it.
I recently purchased an iphone 5 but can't pair the headset with the new phone.
I'm not sure of the headsets model but the serial No. is 1221ML000R88 if that is any help.
Can you please tell me how to pair the phone with the iphone 5.
I've tried every way I can think of and it just won't pair.
Thanks
Ray

What happens when you try to pair it? The process is the same on the 4 and 5 as they use the same OS. Go to settings, then bluetooth and turn it on, then put your headset into pairing mode (you'll need to check the instruction manual on how to do this) and the headset should then appear in the list of devices available on the iphone. You may be asked for a pairing code, again check the headset manual, and then away you go.

Thank you for your reply.
I don't have the instruction manual, that's part of the problem.
I have been able to pair the on the ear type headsets but the logitech is the over the head style and I'm not sure when it is in pairing mode.
I put the slide selector into bluetooth mode and the green light is flashing but the headset doesn't appear in the phone list of devices.

Had the same problem with the new 5s, but follow these instructions from the logitech site and it'll appear and par on your iphone in seconds:

To pair your wireless headset with a Bluetooth device:

1. Set the slider switch to the Bluetooth icon.
2. Slide the track switch to "Next" and hold, and press and hold the "Volume up" button at the same time, until the link LED indicator blinks rapidly.
(it may be blinking now, but it'll blink rapidly after)

You should now see the headset show up in your iphone Bluetooth device listing. Just click it and presto...you're wireless.
