Coonect the phone via a usb cable to your computer. iTunes may start automaticalky, or it may not. Generally it will.

It will detect the phone and gove prompts as to how to prceed next.

The reason for requiring more info is because often it is lacking. We used to get posts with things like "iPhone broken" or "Please help" which told us nothing. The limit was imposed to try to get around that sort of thing. I guess the only way around it is to think of anything useful to add such as the IOS version, just in case that could help. Maybe the minimum characters limit is now too high but it's a balancing act which will probably never be right. I will mention this to the webmaster just the same.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Hi RBJones,

In order to avoid the message, you must enter at least 100 characters for your question. In my experience, that is really the minimum amount required in order to phrase a question that provides enough information to obtain adequate answers. It really isn't that much, for example, this posting I am making right now is over 400 characters long, in other words, 4x the minimum.
