How to cancel an email already sending on iPad 2

We are trying to cancel an email on our iPad 2 which has been "sending" for 24 hours. It has the wrong email address but we can't find how to cancel this in the out box. Can anyone help please?

Take your iPad offline, create and send another email and when it fails, the outbox should appear and you can delete both messages.
