Specs: Windows XP
i am having trouble copying pictures onto my sd card to be able to see them on my ipad connection kit or on my camera for that matter. i am able to copy them with no issue, but when I go to view them on my camera it says "no image". it's like they are hidden. can you tell me what folder on my removable disk folder i can copy the pictures to to be able to view them and copy them onto my ipad?

If you have the camera kit for your iPad, then all you have to do is create a folder on your memory card called DCIM and drop your pictures in there. Then you can view and transfer them to your iPad

hi there, thanks for the reply. i did try that, but it still does not read the pictures i save in there. the order of my saving onto the camera chip, is the "removeable disk (E)", DCIM, 117 Canon. i tried saving the pictures in each of those places, and even saved them in all those places, and i still can't get them to show up to save on my ipad.

jpeg. but in playing with it last night i discovered something. when i usually save my pictures from my sd card to my computer, i rename them according to the event so I can catagorize them. so in my picture folders on my computer they are named for instance.....party1, party2, etc. but if for some reason i don't name them and they are put on my computer using the label the computer gives it such as IMG_1234, then it seems to work. i guess it doesn't like the names i give it for some reason.
it's going to be a pain, but i guess i just have to rename the pictures i want to bring over to my ipad to the computer names.

sorry about the extremely long response :)

If you have to rename them try using the 8.3 format. In other words use 8 letters or numbers or combo of both before the period.
