May 4, 2012 at 16:18:50
Specs: Windows ME
I have a 2nd Generation iPod Touch running iOS 4.2.1 I want to put a password on my apps. Is there a way to do this without jailbreaking? Is there an app on the app store that will let me put a password on my apps? I have looked on the internet and have not found much help. So please help me if you can. Thanks.

the best way is to jailbreak your ipad if your ipad is wi-fi+3G.

It is an iPod not an iPad. And I have tried to jailbreak it but it will not work. Greenposi0n will not work. When I jailbreak with greenpos0sion, after the jailbreak, when I try to install Cydia it says I don’t have enough space. But I had nothing on my iPod. I have look but cannot find a Jailbreak tool. Do you know of one?

i think that if u can update your ipod version to ios 5.1, it will ok. because for ios 5.1
jailbreak is available at jailbreak-nation. so updating your ipod version to ios 5.1 is more convinent because if u had jailbroken ur ipod with version 4.2.1, u would not have updated ur ipod to version 5.1. and sorry for my wrong word. i can tell u only a little about ipod. i think that is ipad. sorry. if it is ipad, i can help u more than.

I do want to jailbreak it and I have restored my iPod about 3 times. Do you know how to jailbreak without using greenposi0n. Greenposi0n does not work for some reason.

If you're still reading this thread, there isn't a way to password the apps (without jailbreaking) but there is a program that lets you create a password protected folder. Then you can put the apps you want protected in there. Look in the Apps store for an app called My Secret Apps.
