How do I delete the Jelly Splash app pop up?

January 5, 2014 at 07:46:35
Specs: iPad Air - latest!
I can't get rid of the ad pop-up! Although I have deleted the App, the advert can't be cleared from the screen. Every time I switch back on and tap "App Store" the same "Install" page returns!

Log out of the App Store. Look for the "sign out" button and tap.

You can't log out of the Apps store, there is no function to do this.

Look at the top of the screen when you are in the App store, there will be a a left arrow symbol with the name of the category you are in. Just press on that.

Sorry, I don't get it!
When I'm in the App Store there is no left arrow!
Have tried pressing everything I can see, but nothing seems to get me out!

Are you looking at iTunes on your iDevice or on a computer?

I'm looking on my iPad Air at an app which is labelled "App Store" and the App Store pages have no arrows.
The Jelly Splash app (with which I asked for help) is even worse, as it has no X (deletion/closing cross) or anything other than the game itself.
I downloaded it to see if it was suitable for my grandchild - and wished I hadn't!!
(I am replying using a desk-top.)

Your not making a lot of sense, in your first post you said you deleted it, now you say it has no X to delete or close it. Apps close differently in iOS7 you double click on the home button but now you swipe up on the small picture of the app to close/remove it from the list of recent apps.

Can you post a screen shot of what your App Store looks like and how this app has taken over you App Store app? To take a screen shot press the home and sleep buttons at the same time briefly, the screen will turn white for a moment and you will hear a camera noise. Then you can post that picture online.

Thanks again, but I'm sorry that I can't post a screen capture as I'm writing these messages on my desktop and the problem lies on my iPad Air.
In my first post I said I'd deleted Jelly Splash. That was by pressing the app icon until all the apps wobbled, then deleting Jelly Splash. Trouble is that when I brought the App Store up again it still showed Jelly Splash & I couldn't exit from it. Therefore I downloaded it again to look for a deletion possibility from within Jelly Splash - in case I'd missed it first time around. Couldn't find any method of deleting it, or even exiting from it except by using the switch-off button.
Sorry again, but I can't find the "small picture of the app" as I haven't found the "list of recent apps". Please could you tell me how to get in to that list?

From the home screen (the main screen you see with all your apps showing) double press the home button (the big button at the bottom of your iPad). This will bring up a list of recently used apps. You will see the icons of the apps and what looks like a screen shot above the icon. Swipe your finger left or right to horizontally scroll through the apps until you want to find the one to remove from the list, then put your finger on the screenshot and swipe upwards.

Close the Jelly Splash app if it's still installed and then close the App Store app. The do a reset on your iPad. Hold down the sleep and home buttons until you see the Apple logo. If you see a screen asking you to swipe to shutdown, just ignore it. Keep holding the two buttons until you see the Apple logo. Then try the App Store again.
