Google search doesn't work-laptop or iPhone

January 1, 2011 at 10:06:17
Specs: Windows 7
A couple days ago after syncing my iPhone with my laptop I noticed that I get a blank white page with the Google search box at the top every time I try searching for anything. If I put in www.google.com I get the following:

The requested URL could not be retrieved

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.google.com/

The following error was encountered:

Unable to determine IP address from host name for www.google.com
The dnsserver returned:

Timeout
This means that:

The cache was not able to resolve the hostname presented in the URL.
Check if the address is correct.
Your cache administrator is root. phishing-warning-site.com

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What does this mean and is there something I can do to be able to access Google again? I can use Bing but I would like to know the cause of this problem.

Under Settings on your iPhone, is Google listed as the default search engine ? I'm not sure if that would help, but it's worth looking at.
