Specs: Windows Vista
Hello.
I have an iphone 3G, and everytime i try to use the internet function - a box pops up showing the Wi-Fi network that I am in the vicinity of. I thought that the internet just "worked" -- and when i went to the AT&T store to ask, they said that was not correct, and that I have to know and enter the password of the Wifi service that i am near.. including my own ~ in my own house. I don't know the password for "annspc" which is my computer name. I have had the puter for 6 years, don't know where to even look for that information. Can anyone help me? Thanks. (im paying a lot for a phone that i don't know how to use!... that's what i get for being old!) :)

The Wi-Fi signal is not coming from your computer, it's coming from your wireless router. If it's asking for a password, then you must have entered one when you first set up your router. If someone else set up your router for you such as the cable company when they installed it, see if you can find the instruction manual or other paperwork, they may have written it down for you.
