Specs: Windows XP
Whilst in the US recently my iPod touch stopped sending emails from my primary account. On returning to the UK it is still a problem (it was working fine the day before I left). I've deleted the account and reinstalled, but the problem remains.Suggestions?

Hi there,
There may be many options for your email trouble and I need more specific information. I make one suggestion for you but also give you a link to Apple resolutions page for email problems on iPod Touch.

1.- Check if you are using your email account with two different devices (an iPhone and an iPad) or a device and a computer. As an example maybe you left your email program open on your computer and you are trying to access the mail inbox with your iPhone.

To fix this increase the frequency your iPhone "Fetch New Data".
But first, quit your Mail app and every other device connected to your mail program. Even turn off your iPhone for 5 minutes. After this period, turn your on your iPhone and:
Go to Settings / Mail. Contacts, Calendars / Fetch New Data and use a higher frequency. But, some mail services limit how frequently you can access data.

2.- Here is the link:

Thanks for the advice. I don't have an iPhone or iPad, just the iPod. I'm currently 'fetching new data' manually (& have since I got the device in Oct 2009). I'll try the Apple link. I've contacted my email provider too as my gmail account is working fine (but I use that account for a specific purpose)
Thanks again; I'll get back to the board if The Apple link doesn't help
