Does anyone know if you buy a new iPhone 7 if you will need to replace the battery? I understand the slowness effects phones that people have had for a while. But what about if you buy one new now? I would think the 7s that are being manufactured now would include the updated battery. Is that correct?

The theoretical issue with the battery is simply the reason Apple give for slowing old iPhones. You may believe it or not as you wish. Some might think it is a wheeze to boost their sales of new iPhones.

I've not seen it written that Apple intend to disband this practice, similarly I've not seen it written anywhere that replacing the battery will restore the speed. Maybe someone else has seen something I missed but I've a feeling their answer would be biased..

Only Apple can really answer this question.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
