Specs: Macintosh
Dell's concept for the Streak is centered on a 5-inch, WVGA (800 x 480 pixel) capacitive touchscreen. This device has a slim tablet shape and it comes in black only.

The Streak runs on Android OS 1.6, but an upgrade to Android OS 2.2 is expected in September. Dell also created the user interface for the touch screen on top of the Android OS user interface. The Streak has AT&T's voice and 3G service, sports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1, plus a GPS receiver. It comes with 16 GB of storage in the form of a removable microSD memory card, and the users have the switching option to use a 32 GB card. On its back the device includes a 5-megapixel auto-focus camera, and a front-facing one for video conferencing. It comes with a regular 3.5-mm headphone jack.

Dell Streak is bundled with an entertainment suite, communications and productivity software, includes a very capable web browser, email software, turn-by-turn navigation app and even more. The device is 6 inches x 3.1 inches x 0.4 inches (153 mm x 79 mm x 10 mm).

More information is available on Dell's website.

I think Dell failed to offer an exclusive feature available only on the Streak, so appealing many people will give it a try. It is not bad, it just isn't what we are expecting in general. As an example, not to just complain, I think if the size/shape would be extremely efficient, a bit smaller, but aggressive, attractive and functional it could be really tempting. But I can't find anything this device could do better than others. So in the end this is a product for a very specific need. With the OS upgrade that is.
