deleting an app from iPad

Specs: N/A
I choose an app. and it automatically started to download and then nothing and a note comes out saying that I've already purchased this but it hasn't been downloaded,if you're having trouble downloading it select check for available downloads from iTunes on your computer then sync with your device. so do I have to sync to delete it

Yes, try syncing it. I had a similar problem where it partially downlaoded but the icon was grey and wouldn't work, nor delete. Once I synced it I was able to downlaod it again.

You could also try a reboot. Hold down the Home button and the Sleep button at the same time until you see the Apple logo. if you get the screen about swiping to turn off, ignore it.
