Can you create an iCloud account using an email ID that is NOT example@icloud.com? In other words, can you sign into iCloud with an ID like johndoe@yahoo.com and still be able to create a free Apple email account that ends with icloud.com? Thanks.

I don't know; try it and report back.

Actually, you keep asking about the same line of questions. At what point do you go with what you really want, an Android phone?

You may want to stick with one of the three other questions you've asked on this same subject. Information was provided on how to create the Apple ID, and links were provided as well. Did you read any of those support articles?

To answer this question, you login with your registered Apple ID email address, then create an icloud email address if you want to use that email service. It's simple to figure out how to do it. Just Google search for create icloud email.

Thanks for responding. I thought the Apple ID email address and the iCloud email address had to be the same. Now I understand it does not have to be the same.
