Neither Apple, nor anyone else, makes a cable to connect an iPhone to an iPad. That's because it would be of no use. The best way to tranfer information between the two is via iCloud.

What is it that you are trying to do, transfer music, photos, etc?

There are apps you can get to do this via bluetooth or you can use iTunes but as ijack pointed out, there is no such cable made to tether the two devices.

On your iPad, turn on Bluetooth. On the iPhone, turn on personal hotspot under settings. On the iPad, you should see the phone as a bluetooth device and be able to pair with it. This will allow your iPad to use your the 3G service on your iPhone

Good luck!

Hello, so sorry to hear that, why not backup all of your files on iPhone ? in my experience, try t o logo in your iTunes account , and check the recover mode. maybe it an recover your lost files. you can also use some other app to recover deleted files.

I don't think you can connect the two devices directly with a cable.
Try to transfer files with bluetooth or use a transfer software if you got a PC.

Hello,

I also think that iCloud or bluetooth would be the best option. Some firends said that however there is bluetooth on iDevices they cannot be connected to other brands, only to iDevices. One of them even said that his iPhone especially "hates" and cannot connect to Samsung mobiles (wonder why :) ). By the way I am trying to develop an own app for iPhone. If you are also interested in development I have found a page with good resources and code snippets (http://www.voip-sip-sdk.com/p_457-voip-iphone-integration-voip.html). Hope you will find my information useful.
