Charging the iPad Battery

Apple Ipad 16gb tablet

Specs: Macintosh
You can top it up as often as you like, but is a good idea once a
month to let it fully discharged, leave it for a few hours and then
recharge at a 100%. As a general rule don't let it drop below 20%.

I understand that Apple batteries, and I don't know if this is a
general rule on mobile devices, have circuits or chips that allow
their batteries to complete the entire charge cycle no matter where
you leave them. OSX and portable Macs have a cycle count that
you could access in "About this Mac" under the Apple menu / more
Info... / Hardware / Power / Health Information: / Cycle count: and
you can check on the number. 300 cycles is on the top you could
expect with 2008-2009 models before you loose the charge to fast.
With the newer models it is expected to reach a "1000" Yoo-hoo!

I wonder if there is a way to access this information on iPhones,
iPads or iPods.
