It's asking for the username and password for your internet account that you signed up for with your internet provider.

This is usually required when you set up a third-party router for the first time if the router was not supplied pre-configured by your internet provider.

I've never seen a router ask for your ISP information. I have a feeling he means his i device is asking for the password to connect to the router.
