Anyone have any ideas about how to create an Apple ID that is not already taken? I tried to create at least 10 different iCloud email address IDs and they are all taken! Even my first initial last name! I want to create an ID with a new iCloud address which will be my first iCloud address. I’m doing this while trying to download an app from the App Store. I don’t want to associate a credit card with the ID which is why I’m creating it while downloading an app. The app is free.

As I understand it... Apple do require a credit card to be associated with an ID and access to their App store?

I’ve seen several articles which explain the method I’m using! One such article is on appletoolbox.com. Maybe iOS 11 disallows this?

I figured it out; I was trying to use an email address that didn’t exist yet. I used the option to sign in to your iPhone and created a new iCloud email account. I had thought that you could create an iCloud account from within the App Store on the fly when it says create a new Apple ID.
