Can any suggest an app for the iPad that will automatically remember and enter passwords for various websites ... probably one that runs with Safari or Atomic .... much like Roboform works on a PC ? Yes, I know there's a Roboform app for iTouch/iPhone, but to make it work on the iPad you need to open the app and choose a login from the list, and then click the "login" button to initiate theoone-click login process.

There's 1Password for iPad ($7) from the well respected 1Password folks. I haven't used it so I don't know if it has the same problem you're objecting to with Roboform. Search in the app store for '1Password'.

I've used 1Password and it's good but you do have the same process of running the app, selecting the login, and tapping a button. In the iPad environment apps can't customize the web browser, so while 1Password on the desktop becomes part of Safari this isn't possible on iPad. I doubt that a similar experience will be available on iPad until and unless Apple changes the iOS model significantly.

Have you had a look at Settings -> Safari -> Autofill...?

Never saw that setting. It should do the trick. Roboform and 1Password will store the information, but won't automatically enter it. This just might be what I've been looking for. Thanks.

Well, I just logged on to FaceBook using RoboForm on an iPad and it was all automatic, so I'm not sure how to answer your question. You set it up and go. Oh wait! You have to have a RoboForm Online account. That may be your problem, in fact, I'm sure of it.

My Facebook logs on automatically too, without Roboform. The username and password are "remembered" on the iPad.
